Does anyone know which Rays players sign autographs before the game?
Im going to the Rays game tomorrow, and I was wondering which ones sign autographs and what not. I know Carlos Pena and Evan Longoria do because I've seen them sign stuff at games before.(despite what some people tell me about Longoria). I got Wade Davis's Autograph the last time I went.
BQ: What time should I get there so that way I can get those autographs?
I used to be a big autograph collector and I do go on a great autograph message board so I do know some things about getting autographs.
Really, it all depends. You will not get the starting pitcher and usually not the starting catcher.......the pitcher just wants to be focused and the catcher is usually busy. But usually, it's just on and off. Some players will come out and sign, some won't. It just depends on whether or not they feel like it. Longoria doesn't sign autographs every night.
Basically, most of them sign at some points during the season so you have a chance to get a couple. Home teams are always tougher though. I don't see anyone on the Rays roster that's completely anti-autograph, although I hear Price is getting tough to get and BJ Upton isn't a big signer.
BQ: Best to get there before gates open..........you can get a good spot. At the latest, I would say around 30 minutes after the gates open because the crowds build up.
I don't know for the Rays though......I quit trying to get White Sox autographs at home games because absolutely no one cares to sign.
