Lindsay Lohan is nothing special, and this spread in the New Yorker Magazine is unreal. By unreal, I mean everyone associated with it has made a huge error in judgment. The original "Last Sitting" with Marilyn Monroe was like Stairway to Heaven...you leave it alone! You don't get Kip Winger to come in and cover a classic, and you don't take a hack actress like Lohan to fill the shoes of one of the most beautiful women ever.
I agree with you. I don't think that Lindsay Lohan deserves the Marilyn Monroe comparisons and she looked really bad in the photos, especially because of the fact that she is covered in a million and one freckles. Didn't they do any touch ups? Plus, the platinum blonde bob is a bad look for her. She just didn't pull the whole thing off. Don't they realize that people like Marilyn Monroe are legends for a reason? That woman had so much talent, grace and charisma. I also found it insulting that in the article, she said that it was an honor to portray Monroe in the photos and then she says "I'm not like that. I'm gonna make damn sure I don't end up like that". Something to that effect regarding Marilyn and Heath Ledger's passing as if she is better than them. Gee, maybe next month they will try to pass George Clooney off as Cary Grant.
