What are some of you guys's history with Harry Potter?
For me I read some of the books when I was like 12 n when I got in middle school the first movie came out and I didnt think it would be good but I ended ip loving it, filling my room with Harry potter posters n collecting all kinds of memorabilia n id been hooked ever since lol and now im 23 and its all ended 
. So I basically grew up on harry potter and im goin to miss new movies coming out..man 10 frickin years
The first movie came out when I was 6, so I missed most of the hype about the books. Once I saw the first movie, I started reading the books and was hooked! When I was about 12, I fell out of love with it because I believed it to be 'uncool' and threw away all my posters and other little things (NOT my books or movies though, thankfully!), but now aged 16, I can safely say that I am back in love and know better than my 12 year old self. Earlier this year, I repurchased all of the posters that I threw away and the books moved back to the front of my bookcase. For me, I've grown up with Harry. Its like he's the older brother I never had. In the front of my first copy of Philosopher Stone, it says, "To Lily, hope you enjoy this book, and maybe when you're older you'll understand where you're name comes from, lots of love, Santa". That should give you an idea of how long I've had these books! And, I'm also proud to say that my parents named me after Lily Potter. Now, I just need to marry someone who's last name IS actually Potter, then I will be, quite literally, Lily Potter.
