If a movie comes with a certificate of authenticity, was it used in the film?
I'm a huge titanic fan and my mom is considering buying me a few movie props online from the movie, including the whistle rose uses to call back the boats, rose's door number for her cabin, some of Cal's money, and a piece of the iceburgh, along with a piece of the deck of the real and movie boat. They all come with certificates of authenticity. So, they were actually used in the movie, right? Please answer! Thanks 
Not necessarily used in the movie.
Some props are duplicates of those that actually made it on film - copies to be used just in case.
For example, they might have 12 swords made for a certain character to use, but only 2 of them actually get used in takes. All 12 would then be "authentic".
You have to read the fine print on this stuff too. Some items are simply made to be sold as "authentic."
