Autographed Sports Memorabilia Value
Autographed Sports Memorabilia Value
I want to start collecting sports memorabilia!?
I want to start collecting sports things like Autographs and helmets with autographs on them. I was thinking on mostly just the NFL and NBA. I want to know if autographs increase their value over time. Example: LeBron James, when he enters the hall of fame will the Autograph increase? When he (if) he wins a title, with it increase? I just want to know if i buy autographs and things like that from good players and i decide to sell them later on can i make a profit. Like after they retire. You know what i mean?
For the majority of people it's no. People like LeBron James are most valuable during the height of their career. You could probably compare it to the stock market in that way but after he retires the chances of his autograph being worth more will probably decrease. By the sounds of it, you would prefer to be a collectibles dealer rather than an actual collector. Being a collector is not about the worth. The personal value you have over your collection can vary of course but if you wish to make ever a profit or make sure that you do not lose value in the items that you purchase you would have to be a dealer as that is what a collectibles dealer does. The best way about it is to search for collectibles dealers othe Internet, check out their prices and compare it to other ones. Another good starting point would be eBay as they tend to have a lot of people looking to sell numerous items like this. I wish you all the best though and congrats on the good idea
